Travel to Leshan to the Grand Buddha which, at 71 metres-tall, is the world’s largest stonecarved Buddhist monument and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. View the Buddha up close from the adjoining park, then take a short boat trip on the river for even better views of the statue. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

16 NOVEMBER 2020 —  GIANT PANDAS

Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding where you can get up close to China’s celebrated bears, as they chomp through piles of bamboo, in surroundings that mirror their natural habitat. Later, visit Jinli street which is 550 meters long and is part of the Temple of Marquis, and the buildings are in the Qing Dynasty style. In the afternoon you will be taken to Wuhou Temple. 17 NOVEMBER 2020 —  XIAN, CHINA

Take a bullet train in 1st Class to Xian, the ancient former capital. Tonight view a performance of Tang dynasty dancing show followed by a delicious feast of traditional Shui Jiao dumpling dinner.  Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

18 NOVEMBER 2020 —  TERRACOTTA WARRIORS

After their fortuitous discovery in the 1970s, the Terracotta Army of China's first Emperor, Qin Shi Huang, has intrigued visitors ever since. Spend the morning viewing the enigmatic ranks of life-sized warriors. See the Xian Art Ceramics and Lacquer Exhibition, and later stroll on the beautifully preserved 14th -century city walls that enclose Xian's old town. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

 

 

19 NOVEMBER 2020 —  BEIJING, CHINA

This morning is dedicated to China’s most iconic sight and you will be visiting Juyongguan section of the Great Wall. After visit a jade factory which in China jade is said to bring fortune and prosperity to those who wear it. At the jade factory you will also be able to buy a small handcrafted piece to take home. In the afternoon relax in the idyllic landscapes of the summer palace as you wander through traditional gardens and admire exquisite architecture.  Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 

 

21 NOVEMBER 2020 —  TIANANMEN SQUARE, FORBIDDEN CITY & TEMPLE OF HEAVEN

Begin in Beijing’s symbolic heart with a stroll across Tiananmen Square, flanked by imposing government buildings and the mausoleum of Chairman Mao. At the head of the square the sprawling magnificence of the Forbidden City is a monument to dynasties past. Entering through the Gate of Supreme Harmony, you will find a complex of a thousand rooms and many imperial treasures. Later soak up the harmonious ambience of the Temple of Heaven, an orderly oasis in a bustling urban landscape, where you can watch, or participate in, a dance class. Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
