YOUR ITINERARY:
Day 1: Arrive Tokyo | -/-/-
On arrival in Tokyo, you will be met by our representative in the arrival hall and transferred to your Tokyo hotel by shuttle, where you are based for the next four nights.
Day 2: Tokyo | b/-/-
After breakfast, Visit the Imperial Palace and Nijubashi Bridge the centre of development of Edo-Tokyo, which was once the Edo Castle in the early modern period and has since become the Imperial Palace. Then on to Tsukiji, an area known as “Tokyo’s Kitchen” for many years. Even after the market relocated, the Outer Market remains bustling with its many shops offering food and food-related items. Walk along the alleys throughout the Outer Market and enjoy shopping for goods and tasting local food. Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest temple, offers plenty to see including the bright red Kaminarimon Gate, a statue of the god of thunder, and a five-story pagoda. The bustling street known as “Nakamise” stretches for about 250 m from Kaminarimon Gate to Senso-ji Temple and is filled with a plethora of shops. Day 3: Tokyo – Mount Fuji – Hakone – Tokyo | b/l/-
This morning meet your guide in the Keio Plaza hotel lobby to then proceed to Mt.Fuji and join our Hakone tour. We start with a cruise on Lake Ashi, then take the Hakone Ropeway to the mountain top where we enjoy the Owakudani Boiling Valley. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your Tokyo hotel.

Enjoy a day at leisure. You can explore other suburbs in Tokyo or spend a fun day at Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea. *Tonight, we recommend you prepare an overnight bag for your nights in Yudanaka (1 night worth of clothes & toiletries) and pre-book the shipping of your main luggage direct with the hotel and pay them accordingly. Day 05: Tokyo – Nagano – Yudanaka (B/-/-) Following breakfast, make your own way to take the bullet train to Nagano station. (activate your JR pass today) Upon arrival, use your Snow Monkey Pass provided to board the local train to Yudanaka. Upon arrival at Yudanaka station, proceed to the accommodation with hotel free shuttle. (10 minute walk) Visit snow monkey park on your own by taking advantage of the free shuttle from your hotel to the snow monkey park entrance.
Day 5: Tokyo – Nagano – Yudanaka | b/-/d
Following breakfast, make your own way to take the bullet train to Nagano station. (activate your JR pass today) Upon arrival, use your Snow Monkey Pass provided to board the local train to Yudanaka. Upon arrival at Yudanaka station, proceed to the accommodation with hotel free shuttle. (10 minute walk) Visit snow monkey park on your own by taking advantage of the free shuttle from your hotel to the snow monkey park entrance.
Day 6: Yudanaka – Nagano – Takayama | b/-/-
Travel by local train back to Nagano using the pass where you are free to explore until it is time to take bullet train to Takayama. Walk to your hotel and check in.
Day 7: Takayama | b/-/-
We recommend strolling through the Sanmachi Suji District which is within walking distance from your hotel and lined with traditional tea houses, cafes, restaurants and shops. Be sure to remember your camera as these streets are one of the most picturesque in Japan! *Tonight, please prepare an overnight bag for your nights in Kanazawa. Please pre-organize this with your hotel and pay directly as before. Day 08: Takayama – Shirakawago – Kanazawa (B/-/-) Following breakfast, check out and proceed to Nohi bus station. Nohi bus around midday to Shirakawago. Upon arrival to Shirakawago bus stop, you have free time to explore Shirakawago- the world heritage site . Transfer to Kanazawa from Shirakawago by Nohi bus in the afternoon. Upon arrival make your own way to your accommodation approximately a 10 minute walk.
Day 8: Takayama – Shirakawago – Kanazawa | b/-/-
Following breakfast, check out and proceed to Nohi bus station. Nohi bus around midday to Shirakawago. Upon arrival to Shirakawago bus stop, you have free time to explore Shirakawago- the world heritage site . Transfer to Kanazawa from Shirakawago by Nohi bus in the afternoon. Upon arrival make your own way to your accommodation approximately a 10 minute walk.
Day 9: Kanazawa | b/-/-
Enjoy the day exploring Kanazawa at your leisure. You may wish purchase a 1 day loop bus ticket on arrival to assist you in self discovery.
Day 10: Kanazawa – Kyoto | b/-/-
The morning is free for you to explore until it is time to take the Bullet train to Kyoto. Arrive at Kyoto Station by 13:15pm to meet your guide. Enjoy a Nara Walking Tour visiting Todaiji Temple, Nara Deer Park and Kofukuji Temple. Upon arrival to Kyoto station, walk to the hotel to check in for the next three nights.
Day 11: Kyoto | b/l/-
After breakfast, meet your guide at Kyoto station and enjoy a full day tour of historical Kyoto, taking in the wondrous temples and sights. Visit Nijo castle and Fushimi inari shrine, and don’t forget majestic Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Temple. For lunch you will feast on traditional local food. Tour disbands at Kyoto station, make your own way back to your hotel.
Day 12: Kyoto – Nara – Kyoto | b/-/-
Your day is free at leisure. You may travel to nearby Himeiji Castle or Kobe city using your JR pass.
Day 13: Kyoto – Hiroshima | b/-/-
Free at leisure until check out. Travel from Kyoto station to Hiroshima by bullet train. On arrival, make your way to your hotel to check in for 2 nights stay.
Day 14: Hiroshima | b/-/-
Enjoy a full day guided tour of Hiroshima & Miyajima.
Day 15: Hiroshima – Osaka | b/-/-
Free at leisure until it’s time to take the bullet train to Osaka and check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to explore the port city at your own pace.
Day 16: Osaka | b/l/-
After breakfast, enjoy a walking tour of the five must see Osaka highlights with your guide. The Raman lunch is included. Visit includes Osaka Castle, Shitennoji, Shinsekai, Kuromon Ichiba Market and Dotonbori. The temple and Castle entry fee and local train tickets are not included in this tour.
Day 17: Depart Osaka | b/-/-
After breakfast the day is free at your leisure until it is time to transfer to the Airport for your flight home.
